Private Lessons
1:1 or small group gardening lessons are available for $45 an hour. We can tailor the lessons to your child’s unique interests and age. Examples of private lessons include:
- Intro to herbalism – seed harvesting, herb processing, tea making, basic remedies (salves and infusions.)
- Intro to gardening – fast-growing plants for beginning students. Basic plant care and garden maintenance.
- Healthy soil and compost – learn about the ecosystems that live in our soil and the important role they play in soil health. Make a worm farm and learn how to make your own compost.
- Introduction to quail keeping – a one-on-one, hands-on experience where your child will learn what it takes to keep quail and get experience cleaning the coop, feeding the quail, and giving them a dust bath.
- Beginner bread making – a class for grown-ups and kids alike! Learn how to get started with sourdough – including keeping your own starter and making your first loaf of bread to enjoy the next day!
Private Parties
Raising a kid who loves to dig in the dirt? We’d love to work with you to host a garden-themed party to celebrate their most recent trip around the sun. Your unique party will include a gardening lesson on a topic of your choice. It also includes a garden tea experience for up to 10 guests.
$300 for a two-hour experience. *Cake, food, etc. is not included.
